Music Production

Although next year timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January.

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr J. Amstad.

In this music programme you will develop knowledge of music production and technology aspects of NCEA music/production Levels 1, 2 and 3. You will learn how to set up, mix and maintain PA systems, studio recording equipment and musical instruments. To enter at any of the 3 levels, it is advised that students have the necessary prerequisite knowledge. This course offers negotiated NCEA standards for learning and assessment. This means students, via negotiation with the course teacher, can co create a personalised curriculum from the base package offered. All standards available for this course relate to the music industry and future pathways into tertiary education.
