Injustice
Although next year timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January.
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs R. Thomson.
Injustice relates to unfairness or underserved outcomes. We will explore this through a variety of different contexts and events and look at the historical reasons behind them. Examples could include but are not limited to: Apartheid in South Africa & imprisonment of Nelson Mandela, the Black Civil Rights movement and Black Lives Matter movement in the USA, wrongful convictions, institutional racism, colonisation, equality versus equity, and mass incarceration. We will take a look at the work of the Innocence Project and the stories of those who have suffered injustice. Assessment will involve students researching their own examples of injustice.
