History Level 3

Although next year timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January.

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr L. Whyte.

This course will look at various aspects of History and how they relate to Aotearoa/New Zealand. There is one internal and one external offered in this course. This will include finding and evaluating resources, researching a topic (of your own choice) and looking at the different perspectives people have on certain events. While the achievement standards on offer are set there will be an opportunity for us as a class to set the context (theme) that we use to complete them. There is two internals offered in this course and it should be taken in conjunction with Level 3 History (which is offered in the second semester) especially if using it for a subject circle.
